Glen and I are in the Galapagos Islands right now, at a dinky little internet cafe and trying to empty the memory cards of the 900 photos that we´ve taken so far. And it´s only been 5 days here!
So far, we´ve been to three different islands and am staying on the fourth island for our trip, Santa Cruz.
We have enjoyed ourselves immensely during our stay and have had the most incredible up close and personal experiences with the wildlife here. I feel like how I was when I was a little girl, obsessed with animals and nature, doing all I can to read and learn as much as I can. The animals here are so comfortable in their natural habitats, their curiosity and inquisitiveness about humans are none like I´ve ever seen before in my life. Just this morning, I was on a beach when I came across two month-old sealion pups who wanted to play by my feet, while marine iguanas basked less than 1 metre away from me.
Right now, I can only do a quick post just to let everyone know that we´re happy and well. I will do a much longer blog as soon as we get back to Quito. I have a feeling that the first day back will be spent uploading photos and videos and blogging, so I really want to spend as much time as I can on this island doing other things rather than being holed up in a crappy internet cafe.
This is really the most beautiful place that I´ve ever been to, and probably the only place that we´ve visited on our travels so far that I can imagine selling everything and moving here. I´ve even got a name for our tour agency business that we can start here ¨Galapag-Oz¨. We have an awesome tour guide, Tim from New Zealand. Well, actually it´s ¨Tum, from New Zealand¨! And yes, I have been relentless with the ¨sexty-sex fush and chups with uggs and fuggs please¨ jokes.
So for now, hasta luego, but I will definitely blog and put up our photos (of Galapagos, and also more from Cartagena!) soon. The videos that we´ve done will go on Facebook.
Love you guys,
San

Dear Sandra and Glen
The Galapagos sounds just fabulous. It sounds like it would be a photographers dream to be there. Have you taken images of the sea lions. They would look just awesome if you could capture just the face with the light on their whiskers. Are there nice people on your tour - and how many. Dad and I spent the day just chilling out yesterday. I was exhausted from our drive back from Albany plus going to see the lawyer on Friday - a 2.5 hour appointment. Sandra is quite down at the momement as she is tired from shifting and overwhelmed by the legal procedures. It was great to see the children - they are both full on - especially Blake. He is just wicked. He calls Brock "Bob" and Brock reckons when they move to Port Hedland he wants to be enrolled into school as Bob Innis.
Lots of love from MUM
